“Winter the Dolphin” in a Dolphin’s Tale
Hey guys i have some really exciting news, have you ever reminisced about those old movies like Free Willy where a heart felt story unfolds displaying and propagating the love and struggle between a small boy and his dolphin. Well no need to fear, the secrets out, a new movie a dolphin’s tale is due to release next year 2011. And it is predicted to be a big hit.
Emmy winners like Clay Hasket, Ashley Judd and Morgan freeman will be giving this movie the added publicity to make it into a hit.
The story unfolds around this little boy named Sawyer who convinces his dad Clay to save the dolphin “Winter”They embark upon an epic struggle of perseverance, fortitude and sheer will power to see that Winter makes a full recovery. Against all odds we will see the meaning of love between a boy and his dolphin.
On the set, executive producer Bob Engelman spoke glowingly about his Tampa Bay filming experience, so far.
“It has gone terrifically,” he said. “We’ve had zero production issues on this. Florida has been fabulous.”
Productions typically figure potential problems with weather and malfunctions into shooting schedules. Although Dolphin Tale hasn’t needed those precautions, Engelman said he expects filming to continue until mid December as planned.
“We’ll finish on time because what we’re doing is getting a better movie,” he said. “It’s giving us more time to get better performances. The director is taking that time to make this a better movie.”

Overall I’m very excited for the release of this movie, and I have no doubt that this will be a blockbuster hit. Its good to see that classic movies of this genre still have a place in Hollywood.
So I’m curious to see what you guys think, are you excited to see this movie?
Perhaps seeing Winter swim out in her healed form because of the love and compassion of Sawyer will melt your hearts and calm your souls. I know mine certainly well.

If you didn’t know, this movie is based on a true story! The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is where little Winter was taken after she was freed from her entanglement with a crab trap (This was in Mosquito Lagoon, which is near Cape Canaveral, Florida) I had the honor of spending this past summer in Clearwater, Florida and volunteering at the aquarium. Winter’s fighting spirit brought her through the tragedy of her tail flukes, as well as a few vertabre, and you can still see her outgoing and cheery attitude. Winter was only about three months old when she was brought to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in critical condition. She is now 5 years old and is swimming marvalously thanks to her prostetic tail compliments of Hanger prostetics. Winter’s story has touched thousands of amputees, as well as children with disabilities or born without limbs. I am looking forward to the release of A Dolphin Tale to see the amount of people that will continually be effected by her story!

Winter the dolphin is a real story that started when she was rescued. Katrina Simpkins met Winter when she was 8 years old. She was being bullied at school and not feeling good about her self-image. When she met Winter she was a changed person forever. She gained self-confidence to Speak at Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Join Jump rope Club, do gymnastics, and become a model. She and Winter’s story will always be connected by their love for each other and through the creation of the program for Disabled people. The aquarium has enabled people with disabilities to have the magical experience that Katrina had on their first meeting.
Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a well-known tourist attraction that teaches about the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of animals. The biggest attraction is Winter the dolphin who wears a prosthetic tale. To see Winter on live webcam go to seewinter.com.
