Can Cruise Ship Passengers Book a Dolphin Experience?

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Many guests contact us about whether they can pre-book a dolphin experience shore excursion on their own without booking through the cruise line?

The simple answer is ” YES “. The cruise line would prefer that you would book ALL shore excursions with them. If you call the cruise line about shore excursions, they will do try their best to make you, as a cruise customer, nervous to reserve any activities on your own because they make a lot of revenue from the shore excursions.

Here are some things to consider if you make your dolphin reservation on your own.

  • If you book directly with us, you will be saving money.
  • If you book early, 30 – 60 days, you will get a substantial discount, 10 – 15 % off if you book online and save even more money.
  • The savings will help pay for your Taxi or Ground Transportation to the Dolphin Facility and have some extra money in your pocket.

Here are easy instructions to Book Online for Tortola, St Thomas, St Johns, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel.

When you get to the final payment check out page of our reservation online system, you need to follow these steps….

check out cruise ship

  1. Keep the Radio Button on Hotel >> Don’t click on Cruise Ship.
  2. Put the name of the Cruise Ship you are coming from
  3. Continue to the end of the form.
  4. Click the Orange Book Button and you will get an email with a confirmation for you to print out and bring with you.

It’s that simple. I hope this helps you.

John

Swimming with the Dolphins in Grand Cayman Video

Saturday, March 12th, 2011

The exquisite shores of the Grand Cayman Islands makes this tropical paradise a popular vacation hot spot. Whether by cruise ship or plane, going to the Grand Caymans vacation is always a very fun and exciting experience.

One of the highlights are the Grand Cayman Dolphins that is a must do is the dolphin Royal swim. This swim is definitely the right word to use, because the Royal Dolphin Swim Grand Cayman encompasses everything one could hope for in an interaction with dolphins and more.

Specifically, the Royal swim entails a maximum 45 minute swim, that’s 15 minutes more than any other swim offered on the island. It includes interaction time with the dolphins, where you can hug them, kiss them, rub their bellies, and much more. But the highlight of the Royal isn’t the petting and rubbing of these cute, adorable and amazing creatures; its the Dorsal Fin rides and the toe push activities.

These 2 activities together comprise of the main highlights of the Royal swim, and is the reason why people are always wanting more. First off the Dorsal fin ride enlists 2 dolphins swimming beside you, while you are able to hold on to each of their fins while they pull you through the water at impressive speeds. But, if that wasn’t all, the fun doesn’t stop there. the real eye opener is the illustrious and highly coveted toe push activity. This is where two dolphins will simultaneously come beneath your feet and push you up and through the water into the air , and allow you for at least a few seconds to be airborne. Talk about the activity of a lifetime. they really aren’t kidding around with this one.

Its hard to imagine what all of this might look like, but luckily, I found this extremely cool video of an example of a perfect Royal Swim adventure. You have to take a look at this.

As always id love to hear what you guys think about this excellent video, and your ideas of the Royal swim. Did you like the video? Have you ever done a dolphin swim or even a Royal Swim? Would you think of doing one in the future?

Let us know we want to hear your feedback,
Until next time,

The video missed the famous Turtle farm which is great attraction but it does get a sense of the island activities. Do you have any other suggestions of activities and food on the island?
