Sea Life Park Oahu Hawaii Video - Dolphins, Sea Lions, and More…

Hi All,
Here is a video of our day in Sea Life Park. It was much better then I expected and I should have an article on the web soon of the day there. I have been to many dolphin facilities but this one was very special, animal were all up close, the park was not very crowded, the scenery was spectacular, and staff was really friendly, making this a special day for me and my wife.

Swimming with the Dolphins in Oahu Hawaii will not be forgotten and this video will be a good reminder of the day. What do you think of the video? Does it make you want to go?

God Bless,

Wild Spinner Dolphins in Hawaii

Hi All,

Well, I have come to the finish of my trip in Oahu, Hawaii and heading back to Ft. Lauderdale. The trip was really great and there is a lot to do and see here in Oahu. The last couple of days, I went to the Leeward Coast, saw Pearl Harbor, ate in China Town, and the best part was to see the wild Spinner Dolphins in Hawaii.

I went on the Ko Olina Cat out of Ko Olina Marina and we got to see many spinner dolphins. It was really incredible and I would recommend this trip to anyone that loves dolphins in their natural habitat. I will post my story on this trip soon.

I need to run, the airport is waiting for me. Aloha!!!

Sea Life Park in Hawaii - Swim with the Dolphins

Hi All,

I am in Hawaii to discover Oahu and Sea Life Park Hawaii. Everyone tells you how beautiful Hawaii is and they are correct. Unfortunately I won’t be able to island hop this trip but I am focusing more on discovering Oahu and the activities to do here.

Here is an outline of what I have done so far:

Day 1 - I drove around the eastern side of the island and went to the Polynesian Cultural Center

Day 2 - Went to Sea Life Park and did the Royal Dolphin Swim, Sea Trek, and Luau. The park was way better than I thought.

Today - I am off to discover Waikiki, Diamond Head, and China Town.

I plan to have more stories up on the net soon. Has anyone any suggestions of places to eat or activities to see before I leave on Saturday?

Aquatica - A New Place to Swim and Be with Dolphins

Hi All,

I just read about Aquatica, a new water park in Orlando, sounds like a lot of fun. Here is a little write up about it….

Aquatica - The newest water attraction in Orlando has 59 acres across the street from parent Sea World Orlando. Themed to the South Seas, it has macaws and other exotic birds, Commerson’s dolphins and tropical fish, and it offers water, water everywhere

Commerson Dolphin

–3.3 million gallons of it in six lagoons, rivers with waterfalls, geysers and more, including two wave pools. To “connect visitors to the sea”, according to Joe Couceiro, vice president of marketing, the park also has a beach measuring more than 83,000 square feet, plus a 15,000 square foot pool with a fort with slides and water cannons.

The centerpiece is an adventure that catapults visitors through 300 feet of clear tubes to a lagoon filled with black and white Commerson’s dolphins. Tickets are $38.95 (adults) and $32.95 (children). Visit www.AquaticaBySeaWorld.com.

This would be a great thing to do after swimming with the dolphins Orlando in Discovery Cove. Has anyone been there yet? Any reviews of Aquatica?

Over 50 Years Old and Loving the Dolphins

Hi All,
We just sent out our survey for March, 2008. This is what one customer said about their Dolphin Swim Workshop Program in the Key Largo area. I think you may like the comment and photos.

Jessica Taylor from Maryland said the following…..

“Overall, we were very pleased with our Dolphin World Workshop. We thoroughly enjoyed the snorkel outing and found the boat and crew really professional, helpful and enjoyable. They provided excellent recommendations for restaurants, etc.

Dolphin Hugging
We loved the Dolphin and sea lion shows at Dolphin World but did not see the other shows because we did not want to spend the whole afternoon there.

We absolutely loved the Dolphin experience and are showing the photos to our friends and family. The dolphin trainers were very professional and cute, seemed to have a real love for the animals, and were great with the adult and child participants alike.

Jumping Dolphin
Probably we would like to visit the upper keys again, although we would probably
stay in Islamorada rather than Key Largo. We liked the Key Largo Grande — beautiful rooms, although common areas were under construction and zero cellphone availability in and around the hotel.

For future snorkeling and dolphin adventures, probably Upper Keys, Bimini Bahamas, Mayan Riviera, or Cancun (maybe). My husband dislikes both the Dominican
Republic and Nassau. I have an aversion to Cancun. Miami does not appeal to us. We were favorably impressed with the snorkeling at Pennekamp Reef.

On a past vacation I snorkeled in the Bay Islands of Honduras. Amazing. Would love to go back there, although of course they do not have cellphone coverage!

The Dolphin World Workshop fulfilled a dream we’ve had for many years. It was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We were thrilled. Just look at our happy faces while playing with the dolphins. Yes, you can be over 50 and still be a kid!”

Happy Dolphin
Thanks Jessica for your comments and photos. She mentioned about the locations that she enjoyed on vacation. Do you agree or disagree about her opinions of these destinations?

Have a great day !!!
God Bless,
John

Punta Cana Dolphin Experience Closed till April 21, 2008

Hi All,

In Punta Cana, they just had a big storm in March and unfortunately the Natural Dolphin Swim facility there is closed to fix the damage to the Dolphin area. It should be open again by April 21, 2008.

So hopefully this won’t spoil your vacation too much if you are planning on going to Punta Cana. We do offer the tour that flys you to Puerto Plata, so you do have an option.

God Bless,
John

Swimming with the Dolphins in Miami

Hi All,

Here is a good story of swimming with the dolphins in Miami. You will get a better perspective of the program and what goes on there. The story is written by Monica Dyben and it starts with the following…..

Like many people, I am fascinated by dolphins. Their intelligence, agility, and friendliness captured my heart at an early age. They are such marvelous creatures. I have watched them numerous times on television, but rarely in my life have I been blessed enough to see them jump and play in person. So when I discovered there were places to actually go swimming with the dolphins, I was thrilled! I decided to experience a Dolphin Swim for myself in Miami, Florida. It was an unforgettable experience. If you’ve never been swimming with the dolphins in Miami, I highly recommend it. <Read More>

I hope you like the story. Does anyone have any feed back from their Dolphin Experience in Miami?

Have a great day!!!
