Cayman Islands dolphin facilities defended

Hi All,

Just saw this story about the Cayman Islands where the Minister for Tourism and the Environment Charles Clifford says he believes the environment will not be negatively impacted by proposed captive dolphin facilities that are going to built on the island soon. Go to:

    Jesse,

Yes, we all do not know when our time on Earth is up. There are no guarantees. So enjoy each day and keep your faith strong.

Steve will be remembered fondly by many people for years to come. He was a big influence to me.

I would like to know more about the animals rescued from poaching and why you did not place them back in the ocean and I am also curious as to why you believe it is okay to purchase animals. Especially dolphins aside from humans they are one of the smartest if not the smartest in the world so they should not be treated like slaves and we need to
think of them as equals it is “discrimination” and it is not just dolphins that are the problem. Though you should stop purchasing them would you buy another human???

  8. dolphin reserve man Says:

im not entirely sure what your trying to insinuate about our organization, because these dolphins while yes are purchased and are saved from pochers recieve the best possible care in our facilities, they are regarded even higher than humans by our trainers and are treated as such. Also in further defense of our organization from your accusations, we would say that the dolphins in our facility are healthier than the average dolphin seen in the wild and their life expectancy is more than quadrupled according to top medical physicians who we hire to make sure they are in the very best shape, and to answer your question about slaves, im not sure if slavery would be the best word to use given that our dolphin are happier, healthier and more fit than average dolphins, and they provide a great service and fullfill dreams to millions who have always dreamed to be able to have a docile encounter with such a fantasitc and majestic animal. we hope that you would change your outlook on us as some evil organization, and perhaps come and witness the swim for yourself as to see that all we are saying is indeed factual and truthful. We look forward hearing from you again.
