Dolphin World Comments for 2006

Hi All,

I have added the comments that I have received from the 2006 Dolphin World Trip with the dolphins. Here is a sample of one comment from a customer….

Debra Vilma, Glens Falls, NY (Upper Keys Trip)
“I turned 40 this year and decided that I wanted to do something special. I have always wanted to swim with the dolphins and there was no question that was what I would do. So on November 2 my birthday wish came true. The weather was terrible but that did not make the experience any less amazing. We went snorkeling in a thunderstorm and swam with the dolphins in the rain. Our snorkeling experience was wonderful. The captain and his mate were fun and friendly and made the trip worthwhile. The rain in the afternoon was a blessing. It allowed the three of us to have the dolphins all to ourselves. So there we were, three giggling women having the experience of a lifetime. As we were the only ones in the swim we got extra time with the dolphins and it was so special. Thank you for helping make my 40th birthday something I will never forget!.”

I hope you all have a great 2007 and Happy New Year!

China’s River Dolphin Declared Extinct 20 Million

Hi All,

Some bad news before the year ends, this story is about A baiji, a fresh water dolphin, which once lived in the Yangtze River and is the first species to be erased from this planet’s great and ancient Order of Cetaceans in modern times is not one of the charismatic sea mammals that have long been the focus of conservation campaigns, like the sperm whale or bottlenose dolphin.

Well, as the bible says, we need to be good stewards over all animal and plants, Genesis 2:28. So we need to take care of this planet and all that is on it. Hopefully we can all work together and prevent any other extinctions of any living animals or plants.

Do you have any opinion on this extinction?

Well, let try to enjoy this Holiday Season and hopefully we all remember the real reason for the season…..
Merry Christmas and God Bless,
John

Swim with Dolphins Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Hi All,

Here is the latest story I wrote about Puerto Plata Dominican. The story starts with when flying into Puerto Plata, one can see why so many people fall in love with this beautiful place. There are miles and miles of sandy beaches, a luscious ocean, rolling mountains, and a green landscape that would make anyone’s heart smile. Landing at the airport, one is greeted in the arrival area with the sound of fun and danceable Salsa music, situated with a Spanish Quartet-happy musicians preparing one for their stay in this lovely land. One needs to be ready for all kinds of adventure, experiencing different culture and customs, activities, and some of the best accommodations in the Caribbean to make this a memorable vacation.

Nicki LaPierre is a perfect example of how determination and a little hard work can lead to at 24, Nicki was one of the youngest dolphin handlers in Florida finding her dream job.

Are there any dolphin handlers out there that can add their experience on how they entered this career?
