The characters are dealing with real-world problems and the storyline is realistic. The story-telling is smooth and smart.The character development especially that of Alyssa, is convincing and inspiring. The film deals with some serious issues like teenager’s troubles, dealing with the lost of a parent, communications among family members, etc. It is easy to identify with the characters and draw from their emotions. The courage Alyssa shows in the film is very moving and powerful. Secondly, the movie has a very good environment-friendly theme. "Respect the nature" is a simple message but it is not easy to actually come up with a applicable solution to existing environmental problems. However, the scientific content of the film, though is not the most important part of the movie, is accurate and solid. The model the film proposes is applicable to solve dolphin captive issues. Overall, besides the fun aspects like beautiful Bahamas scenes, swimming with wild dolphins that draw young audience’s attention, this is a serious, well-made movie that can generate more serious thinking about life, family and nature.
