Hi All,

Just to let you know, the swim with the dolphin programs in Tortola is closed on Saturday and Sundays from October 20 – December 15, 2007 for minor facility repairs.

The swim with the dolphins programs in Anguilla is closed for major repairs and will not reopen till Spring or Summer 2008. I will keep you posted on this.

Hi All,

I had a great time with the staff of the Wyndham Hotel of Pompano Beach Florida. The staff did the Dolphin Encounter in the Miami Seaquarium Key Biscayne. They really had a great time and hopefully these photos show it.

Hi All,

Capt Geoff does the wild dolphin swim in Bimini, Bahamas. He has been doing this Dolphin Vacation for 20 years now and he is known as one of the best provider of this type of nature/eco adventure.

Dolphin World has been working with Capt. Geoff now for 5 years and we have booked his trips for him. If you love nature, ocean, and especially dolphins this is the trip for you. Here are some photos and comments from the 2007 Bimini Wild Dolphin Vacation season.

“This trip is something that I’ve wanted to do for years. Sometimes anticipation or expectation don’t live up to what you’ve conjured up in your mind. Fortunately, that was not the case at all-this trip was exactly what I’d dreamed about. Being able to look a dolphin in the eye or having one swim right next to me and sweep it’s fin against my back was more than a dream come true-and I thank you for that-you three are dream makers! I think the most special moment for me was after our last swim with the dolphins. They went away and we reluctantly got back on the boat. Then a few minutes later, a few came back to play for a couple of minutes and swam away-in my mind they were saying “goodbye” and thanks for playing!! A perfect end to the trip and a memory that will live with me for a long time.”

“Folks I want to say, “don’t come!”. Reason:Geoff and his crew(indescribably fantastic) would be booked two years in stead of one. Therefore I wouldn’t be ale to go again, because you see I’m 70 and my poor bod might not “make it.” All kidding aside: this is one not to miss! Loved everything-great food,great service,cute deckhand/captain/scientist…
Tits is well, more than you see in the movies,not in real life. She’s pretty, sweet, generous, tough, free diver until you can’t see her anymore—-and takes pictures at the same time. Imagine!!
 
Hope to see Geoff and crew continue this once in a lifetime adventure for many years to come. I’m bringing the grand kids.”

Hi All,

I just had a heart warming experience, where I took a Grandmother and her Grandson to swim with the dolphins in Key Largo area. Barbara has 16 grandchildren and each year she takes one grandchild on a special trip. This year it was Bobby’s turn and he always wanted to swim with the dolphins. His grandmother made his dream come true with our Dolphin Swim Tour from Ft. Lauderdale.

One of my readers, Marcia Rueben, sent in this vivid fantasy about her and being with the dolphins. I thought I might share it with you. Marcia is a popular fishing guide and I was really surprise she had a passion for Dolphins the mammal not the fish.  This what she wrote:

lol…let you know when I’m ready to do it (Swimming with the Dolphins)? I’ve been ready for 35 years! No kidding…you see, I grew up having Sea World practically in my back yard (30 minute drive). As a child, we would take annual field trips with our school, and occasionally, if my Mom was able to afford it, she would take my sister and I. As an adult, I moved into a house that is only 6 minutes from Sea World, and at night I used to be able to hear the Sea Lions going crazy when it was dinner time.
Unfortunately, Sea World is now gone, they moved a few years ago, and now it is a big Water Slide park

I have always been facinated with animal behavior, especially dolphins. I missed my calling…I should have been an animal behaviorist or animal rehabilitation specialist, or marine biologist. For years, I had over 50 fishtanks in my basement where I used to raise and breed African Cichlids. Don’t laugh, but I would sit there for HOURS just watching them interact with eachother. They are very territorial, and it was always interesting to witness the heirarchy of the tank, especially when I would go in and rearrange the rocks and plants. lol And then of course there was the challenge of getting them to reproduce. That was like a puzzle….right substrate, right temperature, right amount of sunlight, right PH, etc… 

Ever since I was a child, I have had this reoccuring dream of having this stream (about 12′ wide) running through my house. In this stream, there were dolphins along with lots of other types of fish and creatures. The dolphins of course were the highlight of my dream because I had developed relationships with them.
Crazy huh??? lol
So, as for me coming down (to Swim with Dolphins)…you have no idea how awesome that sounds!

Thanks Marcia and for your story. I hope your fishing program and website, Reel Lady, does really well and you will have time to swim with the dolphins at some point.
