Nadando con los Delfines en Miami

Hi All,

Things are really picking up around here. We were super slow for the months of October and November but with God’s grace the office is moving again. The phones are ringing and sales are starting to happen.

In Miami they are offering a Spanish speaking session on Saturday morning only, for our Latin guests that come to South Florida. Otherwise you need to have an English speaking interpreter in the water with you. As you may know already, Miami is a multi-cultural city, with a big emphasis on Spanish life. I really enjoy the Latin flavor of South Florida and it is good that we have a Swim with the Dolphins in Miami session for the them.

As they say, “Nadando con los Delfines en Miami”. I wish I could say it as well as they do. Anyway this is a video from our first non-English speaking group on a tour. They were from Colombia and we had a blast together

I had to watch the family’s little boy a little bit while the parents where switching from dolphin swim to the dolphin encounter program. You can see he an I had a fun time together. Did you see the little boy at the end of the video? He was so cute and fun to be with. Also the scene where I am interviewing the whole family, you will notice that the family is pointing to the little boy because he ran to my legs and grabbed me. I think I have a new friend. :)
Merry Christmas,
John

Swim with Dolphins and VIP Monkey Tour Together

Hi All,

We had a good response to the swim with the dolphins in Miami and the VIP Monkey and Exotic Animal Tour this year. This one day tour, starts early, between 8am – 9am, where our van picks you up at your hotel or residence in Miami, Ft Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, or Naples Florida. The reason we start early, is because, you will participating in a lot of activities, the VIP Tour and the Dolphin Swim.

The VIP tour is an exciting 2 hour behind the scenes tour where you get to interact with Monkeys, Lemurs, Penguins, Lizards, Snakes, Birds, Turtles, and other exotic animals. Your guide is highly trained with all these animals and everyone that takes this tour loves it a lot.

Monkey Encounter in Miami – Learn More

Then the other half of the day, you will put on your swimming gear and get ready to swim with the dolphins in Miami. This 30 minute interaction with the dolphins is what most people dream and hope to do, pet, kiss, hold, play and best of all a possible dorsal fin ride with the dolphin.

When I ask people about which did they like more, the monkeys and exotic animals, or the dolphins, the guest really struggle because they loved them both. So the next time you are in South Florida and want to try something really different and looking for something to do for the day, please try the Dolphin Swim and VIP Monkey Tour << Learn More.

Has anyone out there had any interactions with Monkeys and the other animals I mentioned? How was your experience?

Ocean World, A Marine Animal Park in Dominican Republic

Hi All,

I had a great day at Ocean World, Marine Animal Park in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. There is so much to do there in one day. Everyone seems to have a blast, from the dolphins, sea lions, rays, sharks, tigers, and birds. You never get bored.

Here is the start of my article….

Ocean World is a world-class attraction in Puerto Plata Dominican Republic. Since I love animals and have heard of this place for years, it was time to find out for myself what they had to offer and would I enjoy myself for a whole day as they offer? Staying in Sun Village up the street from Ocean World, it was a convenient location because it was not far from the park. I had bought my tickets online at www.dolphinworld.org and knew the park had many different activities, from Animal Shows, Marine Animal Encounter, and a Las Vegas Night Time Dinner show. < Read More from the Ocean World Story>

Dolphin Swimming Video and More in Puerto Plata Dominican Republic

Hi All,

Everything takes time, finally I was able to get together the DolphinWorld video from my trip to Puerto Plata Dominican Republic last week. I went down there mainly to try the scuba diving with a dolphin, which I did. But still the main draw to the park is the swim with the dolphins in Puerto Plata program, and the other activities, sea lion encounter, shark encounters, and ray encounters. I tried to put it all into the video, so hopefully I got the feel of the park and your day.

How do you like this video? How do you think it came out?

Scuba Dive with a Dolphin in the Dominican Republic

Hi All,

I am back from my trip from Puerto Plata Dominican Republic where I went there to scuba dive with a dolphin there. The dolphin name is Chico and it was an amazing experience with him. I have tried many different ways to be with the dolphin but this is the first time that I have scuba dived with a dolphin.

I have written a story about my experience. The story starts with….

For many years I have scuba dived and always wondered if I would ever see a dolphin while under the water. It has never happened. So the only way to really accomplish this is by going to Puerto Plata Dominican Republic to Scuba Dive with the Dolphin in a contained facility. I was more than happy to experience the dolphins this way and pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed having the instructors explain and assist with this mini adventure, loved interacting with the different behaviors of the dolphins, and took great photos and memories home. < Read More of Story>

I had a great time and would recommend this to anyone that wants to take their experience with the dolphin one step further, into their world, under the water. How many scuba divers do I have out there that would like to try this experience? I would love to hear from my scuba friends.
God Bless,

Discovery Cove – Swim with Dolphins in Orlando

Hi All,

I have just posted this article about Swimming with the Dolphins in Orlando, Discovery Cove. This place is truly beautiful and an attraction to visit if you can. In fact the other day, I saw the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders photographed their 2009 calendar at Discovery Cove.

The story starts…

Situated in the heart of Orlando, Discovery Cove is an exclusive, reservations-only, tropical retreat that offers extraordinary adventures through up-close encounters with exotic marine mammals, marine life and other animals. Just imagine, you can swim with the dolphins in middle of a huge city like Orlando. Also, you will be able to snorkel with coloful fish and rays, and-feed exotic birds and relax on printine, white sand beaches. Besides the beauty, you will be pampered the whole day too with personalized service and first class amenities.   < Discovery Cove Story, Click Here to Read More >

Discovery Cove and dolphin

It’s hard to believe but winter is on its way and tourist will be coming to Florida in truck loads again. At least that is what I am hoping for, but will have to wait till the Presidential elections are over. I am praying for the right guy and women to be elected, so our taxes won’t be raised which will effect us all in the tourist business.

Has anyone out there been to Discovery Cove? What is your opinion of the park?

Detailed Story on Swimming with Dolphins Ocho Rios Jamaica

Hi All,

Here is a follow up to my last post about the photos from our Swim with Dolphins Ocho Rios Jamaica experience. If you want to read a story of our day, here is a little blurb of the story…..

Only a short drive away from the Sunset Jamaican Grand Beach resort, The Dolphin cove in Ocho Rios offers a wide variety of activities including the initial tour of the Facility, the dolphin swim, boat ride, mini jungle adventure, the sting ray experience, and much more. From the hotel we arrived in minutes to the facility, where we were greeted by a kind and warm staff, our tour guide took us through the facility and showed us where each of the features would take place, and showed us the countless gift shops, restaurants and beverage stands that were on the way, if we needed refreshments or got a little hungry.  By the end of the tour we were fully acquainted with the facility and felt more at ease, and were ready for the main event, swimming with the dolphins in Ocho Rios Jamaica…

Dolphin Cove Ocho Rios Jamaica is a Great Place

Hi All,

I am back from my Jamaican trip. Jamaica was way better than I thought. I was not sure what to expect, from all the negative things I have heard but I was pleasantly surprised. We drove up from Kingston and stayed in a great All-Inclusive Resort, Sunset Jamaica Grande, Ocho Rios on Friday through Sunday.

On Saturday we spent the whole day at Dolphin Cove and we had a ball. We did the Dolphin Swim, Ray Swim, Boat Ride, and did all that was included. The swimming with the dolphins Ocho Rios Jamaica programs was so cool because you got the dorsal fin ride and toe push plus other deep water behavior (See the Photos). Also, once the dolphin swim was done you had access to all the facilities Rays, Snorkeling, Boat Riding, Lounge Chairs, Restaurant, and much more. We spent a least a 1/2 day there but could have spent more time. We wanted to see Dunn’s River Falls, almost across the street, about 1/4 mile down the road, but we ran out of time and were tired from all the activities.

If you want to participant in both activities in one day, you need to start earlier then we did. We started the day at 11am, too late. We were really lazy and were enjoying the all-inclusive breakfast too long. Also, Dunn’s River Falls is really busy and the lines can be really long to get in.

I have uploaded some photos from the day. < Jamaica Dolphin Swim Photos << Click>

We are writing up some more stories from our adventure and you will see them online soon.

Anyone have any experiences in Jamaica that you would like to share?

Going to Nassau Bahamas to Swim with Dolphins

Hi All,

I had this article on my site for a while and thought I would bring it back. Especially since the winter season is coming soon and lots of vacationers will be going to Nassau Bahamas.

This article will show what to do and where to go on Nassau plus describes a little bit about Blue Lagoon, the private island for the dolphin swim.

Between Hawaii and Nassau, it is a toss up for the prettiest location. The biggest advantage Nassau has, the dolphin swim is in crystal clear natural sea water. The pools are natural lagoons where the dolphins are. Most people really love seeing the dolphins in this setting. < Nassau / Paradise Island Bahamas Story>

Dolphin Jumping in Bahama

This was my Christmas Card from a few years ago and it is one of my favorite photos from my dolphin swim in Nassau.

Has anyone have any feedback about their experience in Nassau and Blue Lagoon?
God Bless,
John
