Sea Keeper and Dolphin Swim at Dolphin Cove

Hi All,

We now have the Sea Keeper and Dolphin Swim at Dolphin Cove, Ocho Rios Jamaica. This programs for people that want to get more in depth knowledge and have fun with the dolphins too. This is a full day, where you spend half the day one on one with the trainer and with the animals, dolphins, sharks, and rays and learn how to take care of them, feeding, daily care, and medical treatments. You will have a personalize and educational experience with your own dolphin handler, a behind the scenes tour. You will get to understand their work schedule and daily task.

This program is not all work, but there is time for play. The other half of the day is fun time, where you get to enjoy the dolphin swim. This is where you get to go into the water and play with the dolphins in deep water, like petting them, dorsal fin ride, and the best part, the exciting toe push out of the water.

Detailed Story on Swimming with Dolphins Ocho Rios Jamaica

Hi All,

Here is a follow up to my last post about the photos from our Swim with Dolphins Ocho Rios Jamaica experience. If you want to read a story of our day, here is a little blurb of the story…..

Only a short drive away from the Sunset Jamaican Grand Beach resort, The Dolphin cove in Ocho Rios offers a wide variety of activities including the initial tour of the Facility, the dolphin swim, boat ride, mini jungle adventure, the sting ray experience, and much more. From the hotel we arrived in minutes to the facility, where we were greeted by a kind and warm staff, our tour guide took us through the facility and showed us where each of the features would take place, and showed us the countless gift shops, restaurants and beverage stands that were on the way, if we needed refreshments or got a little hungry.  By the end of the tour we were fully acquainted with the facility and felt more at ease, and were ready for the main event, swimming with the dolphins in Ocho Rios Jamaica…

Dolphin Cove Ocho Rios Jamaica is a Great Place

Hi All,

I am back from my Jamaican trip. Jamaica was way better than I thought. I was not sure what to expect, from all the negative things I have heard but I was pleasantly surprised. We drove up from Kingston and stayed in a great All-Inclusive Resort, Sunset Jamaica Grande, Ocho Rios on Friday through Sunday.

On Saturday we spent the whole day at Dolphin Cove and we had a ball. We did the Dolphin Swim, Ray Swim, Boat Ride, and did all that was included. The swimming with the dolphins Ocho Rios Jamaica programs was so cool because you got the dorsal fin ride and toe push plus other deep water behavior (See the Photos). Also, once the dolphin swim was done you had access to all the facilities Rays, Snorkeling, Boat Riding, Lounge Chairs, Restaurant, and much more. We spent a least a 1/2 day there but could have spent more time. We wanted to see Dunn’s River Falls, almost across the street, about 1/4 mile down the road, but we ran out of time and were tired from all the activities.

If you want to participant in both activities in one day, you need to start earlier then we did. We started the day at 11am, too late. We were really lazy and were enjoying the all-inclusive breakfast too long. Also, Dunn’s River Falls is really busy and the lines can be really long to get in.

I have uploaded some photos from the day. < Jamaica Dolphin Swim Photos << Click>

Swimming with Dolphins in Ocho Rios Jamaica

Hi All,

I am leaving today, with my family, and going to Jamaica. I am excited about the trip because it is my first time there. We are flying into Kingston and then driving to Ocho Rios. My wife is really nervous about the crime and me driving there but we will see how that goes.

We will be at the dolphin facility, Dolphin Cove, on Saturday and will report on the facility and the area. I plan to take lots of photos and write many stories. So I will have a lot to report on when I get back.

Has anyone been to Ochos Rios before and have any feedback for on the place, people, and their experiences there?
God Bless,
John
